SPECIAL NOTICE: THE LUNAR LIVING CALENDAR... what's happening with it... I am undergoing a period of great change in my personal life and also in my astrological work. You will see evidence of that in the coming weeks as I make the public switch-over from the Western Tropical system of astrology to the Vedic or Hindu Sidereal System.
My private and intense study of Hindu Vedic astrology is the primary reason why The Cosmic Palette has not been updated on a regular basis over the past few weeks, including the Lunar Living Calendar. I have made the switch-over from the Western to the Eastern system because I believe it is superior in its predictive value -- what most people are looking for in astrology to begin with.
This changeover from the west to the east has been a wrenching one for me, considering that I have been a professional *Western* astrologer for over twenty-five years and my livelihood the result of it. The problem was I became disenchanted with the results I was getting with the Western system of prediction -- it was no longer working as well for me as it did in the past... After great soul-searching and looking for a better way, I made a temporary switchover to *traditional* Vedic astrology and found that world full of intellectual chaos after studying it for four fruitless years.... Then finally, I was fortunate to discover the System's Approach to Vedic Astrology brought to the world in 1992 by V.K. Choudhry of India... This was the astrological approach I had always been looking for in astrology but didn't even know it existed until I happened to 'stumble' upon it (fate?). It gives very clear answers and has predictive techniques that Western astrology never had or the techniques were lost.
Consequently, I've switched over to SATVA (Systems' Approach To Vedic Astrology) and now I'm going public with it -- finally.
Back to the Lunar Living Calendar... The problem is: How can I best serve those who have been loyal to me and The Cosmic Palette and have loved the Lunar Living Calendar and its listings for the Void-of-Course Moon and the Lunar Ingress into the signs of the Tropical Zodiac? Good question!... Because of a *genuine* need to protect my eyesight after sitting in front of a computer doing graphics for the last eight years, I must unfortunately discontinue the Lunar Living Calendar in the form I have been presenting it in... It's time for me to make it a little easier on myself and focus on what I love doing best: astrological consultations... BUT I will still continue to present the information on those times when the Moon changes its Tropical signs, and those times when the Moon will be Void-of-Course... so don't panic... What will change is that I'm presenting it in a DIFFERENT FORM... Yes, you're going to find this a disappointment because it's not as convenient to read. Nevertheless, it's exactly the SAME information other than there's a greater focus on the four primary phases of the Moon. (Don't worry about the in-between phases which can be approximated.) Sooo...
Please refer to the "Lunar Ingress" table (those times when the Moon changes signs) and the "Void Time" on the *Planetary Ephemeris* page -- the information is at the BOTTOM in the center. This table has exactly the same information on the sign changes and the beginning and end of the Void-of-Course Moon periods that were listed in the Lunar Living Calendar. Remember that the Void-of-Course Moon *ends* when the Moon enters a new sign! If you keep that in mind, you'll never be confused. This feature will continue to be updated monthly, as it is very easy on my eyes to do and takes only a short time. With a little practice you can easily write those times when the Moon changes signs and/or goes Void-of-Course on your own calendar. That's what I use to do before I developed my calendar... If you are still confused, contact me and I will try to explain how to read these lunar changes... Keep in mind that the times listed for the Moon are for PST. Add 1 hour for MST, two hours for CST, and 3 hours for EST... Yes, I can understand your disappointment... but you can still be ahead of the game by looking up this information in a new way.
I remain available for in-person or long-distance phone readings for those interested in my "new" work in Vedic Astrology... If you have questions about the 'how' and 'when,' please contact me at 928.284-3696 or by e-mail. --Sincerely, Haizen Paige
